They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Obie has his own Facebook page! and i have been following him a few weeks now. I was shocked. I've never seen a doxie that large. I cant wait to see his transformation on FB

Yep, I am following him too.
His new guardians are doing right by him. Slow and easy. Over all he is healthy. At the last weigh in he had lost 7#.

OMG, that's awful! I did a home visit at a place where the current dachshund/bassett mix was very overweight but nothing like that.
