    Default Error in judgement...

..ended the life of a rodent today and made Laika one happy dog.
I've been using mice I catch in my live trap to kinda make Laika's life a bit more...interesting. There are 7 dogs here now and I think mine are feeling a bit neglected (I'm dogsitting 3 dogs..one for 12 days and the other two long term..prob. until Jan.) So when I release the mice I catch, I let Laika chase them cuz she loves to. I make sure she can't actually catch them. But today I opened the trap (there were two in there) and one leaped out pretty much right into her mouth.
RIP, mousie. Your life was short but you made Laika's day.

Poor mousie. But Laika got a good healthy snack out of it. That's a mighty FULL house! Bob & Chouli round up the count to at least 9. Wow. I'll bet they keep you very busy.

Luckily she didn't eat the mouse..I really don't like her to do that. She just chomped it and then she likes to throw it around and pounce on it...can't understand why it won't RUN it seems.
Yes, it's kinda crazy here with so many dogs but they are being very good and getting along. I'm proud of all of them.
Here's a pic of the dogs.

Bandit used to do that with grasshoppers. She'd catch them and "play" with them. Then when then died, she'd keep pushing them and tossing them in the air trying to make them keep moving, I guess. Cash is kill and keep. He guards his "catch" until I take it away and put it in the trash.

You DO have a full house. I"ll bet they keep you on your toes!

Wow - what a houseful! Jack catches our giant grasshoppers and EATS them! I have a feral kitty outside who takes care of our mice. RIP, mousie.

Savannah has enjoyed the grasshopper buffet as well, and it gave her the yellow foam barfies.
