A couple came in today to look at Jack for adoption. They came in a couple hours early and I wasn't able to get his bath in, so I was VERY embarrassed:o that they met a stinky dog...
Anyway- they immediately fell in love with Buford too, so they took BOTH home.
You all know how I feel about Buford, but they really are fantastic people and I have no doubt that both are going to be so happy.
I just hope that they don't judge me for the stinky boys... They weren't dirty, just typically smelly dachshunds LOL.
Please say a prayer for me that my heart won't be too broken...

I used to feel that way when we would have to send our foster Shelties to their forever homes. Its sad but rewarding to know they will be well cared for and loved.:hearts:

It's Great that they took both home with them and they can be brudders forever. Is this the same couple that had that wonderful application for Buford that you couldn't find any fault with?

My Shadow smelled terrible when I got him! He reeked of urine!
:cheer2: At least the boys are gonna be together & already know each other! I think it' s great. I do know what you mean about getting attached to them. Is it possible to visit with them in their new home?

My dachshunds don't smell, which is absolutely amazing, since they are SPOILED ROTTEN.
