Patt, what dosage do you give? How long did it take to see results?

Even an organic product can have side effects. I would check with a Vet for dosage and duration of treatment. Melatonin has effects on sleep!

I started P'nut on Melatonin on May 1st. Her vet recommended dosage is 3 mg 2 x per day. ALL her fur has grown back in. It has been amazing. The vet did say it could take up to 4 months. It took us about 2.5 months to see any results. I so wish I took a before picture.

Our vet did say it was a very 1970's treatment But hey, if it works it works.

My sincere apologies for not seeing this and replying. Life happened.....I AM SORRY!!!
Gracie gets the same dosage. 3mg twice a day. She's been on it 6 yrs so have no idea how long it took. Unfortunately her fur will never be what a Boston is suppose to be. She was a rescue from a BYB so no clue on her breeding. Probably the BYB wouldn't know that either. Once a year her fur gets thin in spots then returns. I had no idea this was a 70's treatment.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Savannah's grew in thicker but I will keep an eye out to see if hers is seasonal, too. Thanks for the tips!!
