    Default It's been a hell of a day...*Bad Update*

or James Jeffrey really IS going to be the death of me!!!

I had an all-day meeting with the elder abuse project, (I was really late, and since I was supposed to be sort of chairing it, that was not a good thing). Then went straight to the airport to pick up my sister, who's here for a few days visiting. Plane was early, but they kept them on it for 45 minutes for no apparent reason ). Headed home, got here at James' suppertime, he did his hello Aunty Mary dance, went out, pooped, came back in. I went to get his supper ready, and he went after his ball.

Suddenly, in mid flight, he flipped on his side, ki-yiing loudly, paddling his four limbs, bladder let go, and he couldn't get up. My first thought was a seizure, but he was really wobbly and having trouble walking. So called the clinic and they said to bring him right in. Didn't even have time to take off my coat!!!!

Laura thought at first that he might have had a heart attack, but nope. His hind end usual owies were ok, but she did notice some problems about half-way down his spine. Toe test wasn't starry. So she lasered him, and he's on tramadol and confinement for the next few days, with another laser session tomorrow. She's thinking that a disc is getting ready to blow . Sadly, he is not a candidate for surgery because of his heart, so keeping everything crossed that we can nip this in the bud. (He's moving around ok, and his main concern was that he didn't get to eat until 8 o'clock! ). Any rayz gratefully appreciated!!!!

Poor guy. It does sound disc-like, doesn't it. Which I guess is better than some of the alternatives, but still sucks.
