    Default Laser Therapy for Peaches

I took Peaches to a rehabilitation specialist today for an exam and to start laser therapy treatments. Peaches loved the laser therapy! She was all nervous and tense being at the vet, but after a few passes of the laser, she stretched out and enjoyed the treatment! I was so impressed.

Overall, she is doing great! Like I mentioned before, the medicine has her wanting to go, go, go! She enjoys her stroller rides even though she'd rather be walking. The fresh air seems to cheer her up.

What a great update, T!!! Alex enjoyed her laser treatments the few times she had it (which surprised me, cuz she sure HATED acupuncture ). Tons more for continued imporvement!

Good to hear, and I hope the laser helps her. I'm sure it's terribly hard to keep such an active girl confined and you're doing great!

It makes my heart happy to read how well she is doing!

How often does the vet recommend she go for treatment?

It's great to hear she's doing so well with the laser treatment. It's so hard to keep them confined once they start to feel better. Keep up the good work!

2 times per week for the first 2-3 weeks after the injury. She had her first treatment yesterday, and she'll have 2 next week. Then 1 more the week after, and then we'll be at 3 weeks already. Thankfully my in-laws are visiting all next week, and they can watch Andrew while I take Peaches. He came along for the appointment yesterday, and that was an experience!

After the 3 week period, the vet told me I could start to introduce a little exercise. I could take Peaches on a 5 minute walk twice a day, but other than that, she needs to remain on crate rest for 8 weeks.

Awesome news! I was very pleased with laser therapy for my kids, too. I would not, however, take my dog on a walk when on crate rest - too dangerous, IMO.

I'll see how she is at 3 weeks and make that decision then. I'll have to be picky about the environment we walk in if do go that route.
