    Default Walkies on our street

First ice & snow event of this winter. The furkids were not amused. Well, Holly wasn't happy. Buddy thought it was fun. We took photos of our walk, this morning.

Daddy, it's wet. Do we really have to go for walkies?

Ice was too heavy for trees:

Daddy, hurry up cuz brekkie is now waiting inside!

Poor puppers. And poor trees! Be safe out there, you guys.

Snow does make for some pretty cute doxie pics, though

Gorgeous scenery! You couldn't bribe my pups with steak & bacon to be out in that weather

Mine either. One of the few times it snowed they wouldn't even go out when the DH was outside grilling steaks. Well, except Cash. He went out and hoped for a dropped sausage

That is so beautiful, but ice scares the heck out of me. Born in Canada and I am totally scared of ice. I have a hard enough time staying vertical on dry, flat pavement, I can't drive or walk on ice. Snow, I am okay.

I can't believe you got them outside in that. There is no way here, the pup port goes up in November

What a beautiful place you have for walks!
    Ice really sucks though.
The only walkies now for us is when I pack one poopie up in a knapsack and go walking.
    I miss summer.

Yup, I feel the same way. Ice is the one type of weather that actually scares me. I don't mind driving (slowly) in snow, but ice, no way!!! I'm SO impressed with your brave pups . Alex was the only one of mine who actually enjoyed snow...the rest just wanted to hibernate thankyouverymuch!!

The roads were pretty treacherous last night, esp. after that light snow melted and then the melt-water froze. Last night, Buddy & I walked in the other direction, towards the highway. (Da girlz stayed home.) In some areas, I could slide my feet along the icy pavement, like skating rather than trying to risk taking full steps. OTOH, the icy snow alongside the road seemed safer, but was too hard & sharp for Buddy to walk on, so even he preferred the pavement. We washed his feet in clean water, back at home. It's the yucky salt season. This ice stuff is scary for cars & pedestrians alike. I hope the bent trees bounce back upright.
