big dummy has caused yet another lick granuloma. He is bleeding all over the house. Have his foot taped into a baby sock until we can get back to Doc C's. Just went over his paper work - he turns 13 this month! Where the heck did the years go? Never realized that he is older than Oscar who turned 12 in May. He is really starting to show his age - losing weight, eyes are showing cataracts -
Soooo just when they cash my final Jadaa check - dummy chews his foot off. Or should I say licks it..

That's very depressing. It's so never ending when it's one thing after another. Were you able to put some antibiotic ointment on the foot before you put the sock on? Is he going to the Vet tomorrow? Does the Vet give you a multiple dog discount?

WOW!!! He still has the sock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was convinced I would get up this am and find it on the floor. He is going to Doc tomorrow as they don't open until 9 and I have to be at work at 10. I just thank Heaven that they let me post date checks... and give me huge discounts!

It is a lick granuloma. He has completely licked the pad off his toe. It is gone. We are keeping it clean, it is bandaged with a baby sock taped onto this foot - and the collar of shame. When it heals we have some spray to put on it to hopefully curb his licking. Big dummy. He is such a daddy's boy that he licks to sooth himself if Daddy leaves. Since Daddy has been home so much the past yr and a half he has been ok - Daddy got a temp job last week for 3 days and this- the licking.
Doc says that if it is not a splinter injury or an allergy then normally it is psychological..
