Default We Gots Venison for Dinner!

Scooter's first dad (the one we got Scooter from) lives in a rural area near here and is a big hunter. He and his sons got some deer and he told the DH that we could have part of the meat if we would cover part of the processing fees. He brought it to us today. Holy cow! There is a whole bunch of it combined with beef and made into hamburger. So I added some to their dinner tonight. They were very happy doggies

Three of mine are 'merican and would like to come and live with Aunt Patrice. Pogo is applying for a green card. He says he is willing to work (just not super hard) for Venison. YUM

Pogo is welcome to come! They all are welcome! But, they do have to live with Scooter which according to Cash is not all the much fun.

Scooter is pretty much totally redneck! He came from rural Montgomery County, Texas which is pretty redneck.

Edit: Okay, I stand corrected. The DH has informed me that Scooter is a city dog now

For anyone feeding raw - check with your local deer processor during hunting season - ours give me BAGS of scraps and bones! FREE! All I can carry! I freeze it and divvy it out - my guys adore venison!

Mine love it, too! Right now, I'm feeding them some because Miller will eat it more than his regular food and I'm trying to get a bit of extra weight on him. I know how they lose when they get old and he's not a great eater now so will probably get worse as he ages. It's really hard with him because if you feed him extra of his regular food, he just stops eating
