Default In Loving Memory of Shadow

My boy Shadow went over Rainbow Bridge on 6 DECEMBER
He was the sweetest puppy and most well manner dog ever!
I will never forget that people would tell me that they wished their kids listened as well he is obeyed!
I decided on his name because 1) He was always on my heels and would actually run into me when I stopped walking 2) He was so hard to see outside if he was in a shady area!
I am happy that he went peacefully and while he was sleeping.
I had just washed and dried his favorite blanket. It's a fuzzy blue blanket with paw prints and his name on it. He wanted it before he went to sleep, barking and barking while it was tumbling in the dryer. He had a little heater in front of his crate, but still wanted his blankie. I will never forget him burrowing and snuggling in it!
I gave him some water earlier and before going to bed myself, thought the temperature must have been getting warmer, the house got warmer. I went to turn the heater down and checked on him. He was sleeping like a baby.
Later I decided to turn it off completely because I was concerned that he didn't have anymore water and he wouldn't wake up. I think he just crossed!
I wasn't shocked like I thought I would be! Thankful that he didn't suffer, I guess. I am waiting for his memorial stone today, as the Christmas shipping season has bogged down the time on shipping.

He was my clearance puppy, like on Marley & Me, except he was a Christmas gift instead of a birthday gift.

Oh Laurie, I'm so so sorry. Run free sweet boy. Til you both meet again.

I'm so glad he went so easily, all snuggled in his blankie. That made me really teary, I gotta tell you. They say everything happens in threes...and here's proof. Maybe Shadow, James and Elsa met up at the Bridge and are swapping Mom stories . If you're feeling anything like I am these days, sending a whole ton of

Too much loss and hurt on the DLC this month.
