I have dachshunds, I'm well acquainted with the sense of smell and how they use it. Since Miller can no longer see or hear well, he tracks me thru the house by scent. My friend was at the house and he walked in the room and saw her and stopped and sniffed the air. It was like "Nope. You aren't the right one." He went on into the kitchen to find me.
