    Default Phoenix McIntyre

With a broken heart I have to tell you that I lost my Phoenix today. In typical Dachshund fashion he waited for a snow storm to let me know it was time. My boy was 17 and my oldest fur child. He came to me around the age of 1 already down in the back and walked out of surgery. That was my hardheaded determined little guy.

As you can tell from his picture he was ready.

I love you and I will miss you forever.

Yo... I am so very sorry. No matter how ready he was I know it's breaking your heart. So long for now, Phoenix, you grand old man. There are many you will recognize waiting for you at the bridge.

    Yolanda, I am so sorry!

Phoenix hit the jackpot with you. He knew he was loved and safe. I'm sure you have a Phoenix-sized hole in your heart right now. Seeing their entire circle of life is such a unique experience of incredible joys and sorrows. Just know that we are with you sending you love and strength. Unbelievable that he walked out of surgery! May his memory be eternal.

I am so sorry. It's never long enough to have a dog share your life... even when it's a good long happy one by their standards.

Sending lots of hugs and prayers your way. Nothing beats this kind of loss. Remember the good times. Those are what he is dreaming of on the rainbow bridge.

Oh Yo. I am so so sorry. No matter how ready they are, we never are, even if we recognize the sad reality. Holding you close in my heart right now. He waited til he was sure you were recovered from your surgery, sweet sweet boy.

Godspeed, little man. Til you meet again.
