Default We Went to the DREAM Rescue Fundraiser Today

DREAM is a break off from DROH. While DROH takes in only shelter dogs or strays who are in danger of being killed, DREAM focusses on owner turn ins. Great people and a really fun fundraiser. We had a perfect day for it. Sunny and high 70's with NO rain for a change. It was originally going to be last Sunday and was rained out.

    Here's the silent auction.

    Lots of interesting colored dogs

Fluffy dogs (this dog had an amazing coat)

    Dogs being cool

Cash being cute (one of the things he does best)

    Miller being Miller

And my loot from the silent auction

I bought the cute treat jar (with treats) and the big canvas tub with the pillow, some treats, a squeakie toy, a Texans jersey for dogs, the cute yellow stuffed doxie (which Scooter is not getting even though he wants it) and some more stuff. It was a very good day

Are you talking about the Isabella? I don't think he/she was up for adoption, but you'd have to check their website to be sure. I'm also not sure that they adopt out of the Houston area. It's a relativity new rescue and I don't know what the rules for adoption are.

Also, if you aren't familiar with Isabella. It can be a difficult coloring. There are health problem involved with any recessive breeding. Miller is out of double dapple breeding (another recessive breeding practice) and he has definitely had more than his share of health problems as he ages.

(sigh) I wish more breed-specific people lived near me.

Glad you had such an awesome time, Patrice. Looks like DREAM is off to a great start.
