Default Kill-Shelter: Doxie Mix (San Bernardino County)

    Hello,

Can anyone pull this girl out of a kill shelter, and get her into a foster home?

    Her sister is gone…

Oh, that's so sad. I wish I was closer. I don't know that we have any members in that area, Rene. I think you're one of the few we have in So Cal.

    Thank you, Patrice.

The kill shelter is so far away. I'll need a Saturday or Sunday and some help. She looks like a mix of Pokey and Marta …but terrified.

I emailed 6+ rescue groups, but haven't heard back.

It can take time for the rescue groups to get back to you. They are all volunteers and most of them work and have families. Hopefully you'll hear soon

I'm not familiar or affiliated with the rescue groups out here. If anyone needs me to pull a pup out of the West LA Animal Shelter, I can most likely get there.

Thanks again. San Bernardino County is far too far right now. Hoping for the best! :cross fin:

    Default Good News!

Update: We are getting a new foster!!

After working all week to get her pulled, it finally happened. Friends of Freddie played a huge role in giving me local leads. The Dexter Foundation of Redando worked non-stop to get this pup pulled, and are currently having her spayed.

Sending a huge thank you to all of you, and especially Zandra (Pokey's Godmother) for giving me strength to continue pursing leads.

Devore is the highest rate kill-shelter in the State, and it's a miracle she has made it this long. We are looking forward to fostering her, and finding her Forever Family! (She'll be available for adoption through The Dexter Foundation soon.)
