Mega zoomies this morning! Then she settled down to cuddle and play. She is amazing. Yes, I would love love love to be her forever family. 100%.

The hard part… she deserves a home with more room to run and play, and a home where she's not the only pupper. Earthdog or Agility (for fun) is in her future, and finding her a home with all the works is what she deserves.
Every single person, including our vet, just adores her and wants her to stay with us. It's heart wrenching. I will foster her until the most amazing Forever Family in The World shows up for her!

She's posted for adoption! (I have to zoom-out, and remember the goal was to get her pulled from a high-kill shelter and into any foster care.)
She is one amazing pup. Perfect for experienced dachshund parents. (Agility or Earthdog a plus.)
I'm so glad she is safe and learning that life can be pretty darn good!

Darcey Wigglebottom Bussell is such a joy!! We completed a 6-week puppy class in a group setting with a very experienced behaviorist. It was really fun to see her grow, and to learn new things myself. (We even did basic agility!!) I started nose-work with her, and she loves playing "Find It!"
She is definitely a dachshund (vet confirmed)- yet the "mix" part is baffling. Whippet? JRT? Darcey is not hyperactive, and fits the play-lounge-nap personality.
SoCal is very overcrowded, so please keep your fingers crossed that she finds a top-notch Forever Home.Adopt a Senior!
