these are the ones I was babysitting a couple of weeks ago, Patrice. Chantal's husband is in the navy and is away for 3 months, and she's got 3 of her own, plus two 3-year-old twin boys, and having these guys as well was just a bit too much for her. So when she asked if I would foster them, I said "long term?" And the answer was yes. They were at Wienerpawlooza on Saturday (Patti and I went for a bit...lots of fun, but he got worried pretty quickly with all the commotion so we left), and although lots of people loved on them, no one was interested in adopting them (they had to go together). Of course, the fact that I was standing by the expen glaring might have had something to do with that! I picked them up yesterday after work, and it was like they'd never left . Technically, someone could still adopt them, but it's not likely. And if the Universe would just hurry up and send a buyer for my house ( one potential person out of the open house on Sunday ) then they'll be "officially" mine.

Wow! This is so exciting! Ferkel? Does it mean wood nymph in some utopian language with which we are not entirely familiar?

    Serious congrats!

This is so exciting! I knew they were the ones you had for a few days, but I had thought the other woman wanted to keep fostering them. I'm so glad they're with you now. your house sells and things work out. In the meantime, you have 3 sweeties to enjoy

Ferkel means "piglet" in German. Which I think is an entirely rude thing to name a dog ! And Heidi looks like a Holly to me . But at their ages, I'm not going to change their names.

Change their names! They won't care. Seriously. If you don't like them, change them

    Piglet. Oh my.
On the bright side - I learned something new today (Ferkel means Piglet) so I can go back to bed!

Their names don't matter. They only need to know yours.

Pepsi used to be "Todd" he is so not a "Todd". Nothing against the name, it just wasn't him.

In 24 hours he knew his name, I can call "Todd" until I am blue in the face, he will not come. P'nut might show up in the search for treats, but Pepsi will not make an appearance. If I whisper "Dewie" in a really low voice, he will be there in a second.

It is funny to me, how they know their names, their nicknames, and their, "you are in trouble now" names
