    Default Engli update and photos

She made it through the night without needing an emergency vet visit and I'm so thankful. The vet, who said he didn't sleep last night with worry, had me come in to check her for anemia to see if she needed a blood transfusion. She was low but not in danger. We'll do another check tomorrow am.

She's eating and drinking and moving around.

I ended up putting a plastic bag under her head with a wad of paper towels so I could monitor the bleeding and remove and replace with clean paper towels as needed. It kept the bedding clean too.

    This thing is gone..

    Lots of staples..

That's a big incision, but it was a big growth!
Bless her sweet heart... Being a good mommy and taking care of your babies is hard when it causes them pain... Even though you KNOW you're doing the right thing medically and it's in her best interest... I cried when Savannah was so pitiful after her spay, even!

Keep up the good work - I bet you're a great nurse. (((Hugs))) to you.

We did a second blood check this morning to make sure she was rebounding from the blood loss.

I don't get to say this often. The vet did 2 blood draws and 2 tests for free, just making sure she's ok. So appreciated!!

Tons and tons of feel-better ! That was a huge incision...but she'll be happier without it (as will you!)
