Due to my schedule and the Godforsaken time change I have to walk the dogs at dusk or in the pitch dark. Even though we live in a quiet neigborhood I worry about oncoming traffic - because we live in a quiet neighborhood People don't pay attention! I fear they won't see the dogs and slow down. I do keep them close to me but drivers can get too close for comfort.
I have tried those blinky lights that change colors, the high dollar blinky lights shaped like bones, glow in the dark tubes attached to their leashes but nothing worked well at all and usually required expensive coin type batteries. Yesterday I went to my sewing machine and came up with these. They are easy on and off, reversible, machine washable and water resistant. They are flexible and soft - meaning they don't bother the dogs at all and best of all - no batteries required! I think I have a winner.
I am looking for a few people who walk their dogs at low light to field test for me. If you would be interested send me your dogs collar measurement and address via PM. I am also trying to come up with a name. If your suggestion is chosen I will send you one of the as yet, un-named items!
No light.
Light!
Sixteen feet away from me, in heavy smoke from people burning leaves.
