Pippit's been registered since I got him. No maintenance fees. Nothing. A one time deal. His chip is through AKC Home Again registry.
Izzy and Calli are through PetWatch(it's what the rescue vet puts in) they charge $21 a year per dog "to keep the info on file".
What does everyone else do? Who are your chips through?

Cash and Scooter have AVID chips that I had put in at a rescue event at my vet's office. I paid to have them put in, but I don't pay any maintenance fees. Darby has a tag that says he's chipped, but I haven't registered it in my name yet so I don't know about that one.

I just got off the phone with ACK Home Again. Izzy and Calli are now registered with them. They'll send off new tags, but their chips are no longer with PetWatch.
And the people at PetWatch were incredibly rude!
Glad to be rid of them!

Home Again. It was a one time fee but you can pay a yearly maintenance fee for extra services.

Ours are microchipped with an "AVID FriendChip". It's registered to the vet's office, by default. It costs $6 for information change. $20 for lifetime enrollment for 1 pet, and $50 for up to 3 pets. No annual fees.
