    Default New Ramp

Today we built the boys a ramp! Saved us a lot of $$$ only spent like $25 in materials :-) it's not 100% complete, we were going to put sides on it to cover the frame and a bumper on each side but after watching them go up, maybe they might be ok without. I was worried about Rusty falling off. Rusty & Baxter love it, Odie is unsure

Looks good!. Hope it's not too steep. Jack wouldn't use a steep one.

I just bought one for Cash so he can get up on the couch next to the DH. He loves it! It doesn't have any side rails or bumpers and he and Darby have no trouble with it at all. I have 2 others with no side rails and haven't had any problems at all.

    What is yours covered with?

Not too steep at all! We initially wanted side rails because Rusty has a wobbly back end due to back surgery but after testing it out today it seems he will be ok. was going to line it with a carpet rug but when I tested it, his back feet slid down so I looked for something rubbery. The cover is a thick rubber drawer/cabinet lining.

Oh, that's cool. Ours are both covered with tough berber carpet. It seems to give them a good grip. We also have a little ramp from the doggie door in the master bath on the outside. The DH covered it with some indoor/outdoor matting stuff. It seems to work well, too.

I use the kitchen cabinet rubbery lining on all of my ramps. They grip well and are very cheap to replace! They are stapled in place. Easy peasy!

Whitney's dad made her two ramps one to get on the bed and the other one to look out the window. LOL
