    Default Water Aerobics

Rusty used to hate water but I think swimming at the vet for PT made him like it a little more. Today we tried tricks in the doggy pool ;-)

    Enjoy!

Cute - reminds me of my cocker spaniel who loved water.

Baxter's quite interested. I've wondered if the girls would get in a pool... but then I think of how much fun wet longhaired dogs are

The good thing about it being hot out today is that Baxter has dried off fast otherwise, a wet longhair is no fun! ;-)

That's a good boy! Walking in water is excellent exercise for Rusty. Good that he's OK with it. He seems oblivious to the water when a treat is dangled at his nose. :-) Was it my imagination, or did he stumble on his back right leg when exiting the pool? Is that leg a bit weaker? (Buddy's left rear leg remains weaker, too, even after 4 years, but that's OK.) Rusty's PT is going great.

    Good boy Rusty.

I wondered about that rear leg too. Did he just catch it on the edge of the pool or is it a bit weaker?

Rusty has a bad right back leg. It now turns in when he walks since his back surgery. However it is his stronger leg, he can scratch behind the ears with it but he can't move his left leg to reach his ear when he needs to scratch. I need to put a step stone inside the pool so he can get out easier like he can get in.
