Default I, Super Sonic gots white teeth now!

It wuz terdible. no breakfast. How could that be? I did not believe it and then we go see Whitney and Lisa and Dr. Bobby and I likes them a LIDDLE bit but den I was sleeping. I got to sleep and sleep all the day long with blankies and I was bery tired.
But mom sez I do not gotz da stinky breaf. Dat puppy is bugging me but I been growling at her to LEEB ME ALONE and she finally iz being good.

it is true. Only 2 years old and supposedly raw fed for the 1.5 years his former owner had him. And his teeth were BROWN. I didn't even like kisses from him cuz of the stink (although it was not near the sewage smell of Salsa's teeny mouth). 3 days of antibiotics really helped his gums which were bright red and we will continue with that for 3 more days. His teeth look lovely but somehow his muppet hair got VERY bedraggled...he looked so pathetic when they brought him out I had to laugh a little. gosh he's so tiny...I forget cuz I have two smaller dogs but he's only 7.5 pounds! and about a pound of that is silly muppet hair I swear.

Odie feels your pain Sonic. He has very bad teeth that go yucky very fast after a dental!

Enjoy the fresh breath kisses while you can :-)

Raw feeding dental benefits are from chewing the meat & bones, from the mechanical rubbing that cleans teeth. So gulpers who swallow without gnawing (eg, Buddy) are missing out, and still need dentals. Many raw feeders feed pre-ground meat, which nullifies the chewing benefit, cuz it's just mush. So teeth remain bad. The solution is to feed frozen, or BFLO (Big Food Less Often = large complicated hunks), to slow down the gulpers, forcing them to chew.
