    Default Lily Update

Lily is all done with chemo with no signs of metastasis in her lungs. WOO HOO!! She's her normal spunky self, the only difference is that now her tongue sometimes hangs out the right side of her mouth. Oh, and I think she hates the vet tech that did all her blood draws. She barked at her the last time she came to get her to take her in the back for the draw. I think she's probably as tired of going to the vet as I am (chemo, one week later CBC (white blood cell count), then two days before the chemo (3wks apart) she had to had blood drawn for a CBC and chem. panel (looking for liver and kidney function issues) then two days later, chemo (all day at the vet's office after a 45 minute drive there).
Don't get me wrong, the trips were all worth the time and expense, I'm just glad it's all behind us now and we can get back to our normal lives. Hopefully Lily will be around for years to come, no longer how long she is with me she will be loved and adored. She's my little "spunky spice".

Thanks for all the rays, I definitely think they helped.

That's a great update! I'm so glad Lily is doing so well and that you both have all the vet visits behind you. What a great way to start the day!

BTW, when Bogart had to have some extensive dental work done, he didn't like the vet who did it for him. After he went and had it done, we had to go back for a follow up to see how everything was healing up. When the vet came into the exam room, Bogart scooted over on the table and put his head under my arm to hide. Poor little dude.

That's great! I'm happy for you both .

The girls get more anxious every time we go to the vet. It sounds like Lily did really well other than a little barking. Can't blame her.

Yay! Chemotherapy is finished, and Lily is recovering, and with no sign of metastasis she's in good health. Yipee!
Now just sit back & enjoy all the pleasures of life. Smooth sailing from here on....
