Default Window watching and a bunny...

This is Milo's FAVORITE way to pass the time. I mean favorite. Like he spends HOURS doing it. Who knew he was a nature watcher? He barks at strangers, whines at birds and makes the strangest chatter noises at the squirrel that likes to come sit on our patio.

And okay okay, so she's not really a bunny. But she kinda looks like one!

I think she looks a lot like my Mom's Papillon in this picture. I sure do miss Suzi.

Scooter is my "watcher". He loves the low windows in our living room and dining room and especially the wrought iron gate across our driveway. He can see clear up the street from there! The DH calls it "Scooter-vision".

When I was living with my dad, Alex also enjoyed "dachshund TV" with regular showings of Da Squirrels...and gophers and bunnies and deer. Not to mention the heat vent right next to it. If she didn't have to eat, she'd have stayed there all day!! Great pics

They look so cute. I really want a window seat for the girls as we are remodeling our house.

Tristan used to lie on the back of the couch and look out the window in our old house. He was always up there watching for us when we came home

The last place I lived, the sliding glass door was off the kitchen. I had the whole kitchen gated off. I don't usually open my blinds, kinda anti social that way. But here in order to clear the stuffy air after having the apartment closed off all night, I open the slider in the living room and window in the bedroom. Sitting at the computer, I can't be seen through either window so I feel private enough. Now Milo gets to watch to his hearts content.

So sweet! Savannah has wallowed the couch where she perches on its back to watch out the window. There's a whole WORLD out there, Mama!

Oh most of the time it helps settle some of his anxiety. Unless of course something/someone is out there that he thinks shouldn't be. But he's got a squirrel for a girlfriend. I am trying not to be a species-ist or harsh his mellow. It'll never work you know LOL. One squirrel out of the half dozen or so that play back there likes to come up and chatter to him. She's fairly small and very dainty. He'll whine and yip at all the others but her? His tail goes a mile a minute and he makes these cute little squeaks and tilts his head just so. When she goes away he whines and paces until she come back. Yep, it's love.
