    Default Dachsund sweater

My Jack has kidney disease, along with other issues, and my vet says to get him a sweater that will keep his kidneys warm. His back length is 18 and his girth, thanks to Cushings, is 22. Any ideas?

I am confused... never heard this before. Do they think his kidneys hurt or something? Is it even cold enough for a sweater where you guys are?

I just saw some jackets in the catalog "In the Company of Dogs". They appeared to come in back lengths. You might check etsy.com also. They have a lot of people that make custom items there. You might find one that will make an extra long jacket or sweater.

Here are some from an etsy search https://www.etsy.com/search?q=dachshund%20sweater

Another problem we are dealing with is his bare belly, after having been shaved for his ultrasound. He shivers a lot outside now.

Or this http://www.inthecompanyofdogs.com/it...5&T1=D14629+12 I wonder if just a big belly band (moved up ) might do the trick? (Interesting...I've had 3 dogs with kidney issues and never a mention of keeping the belly warm!)
