    Default Well... This is new.

As with most of you, I know entirely too much about my furry companion. Night before last as I was running my hands all over Savannah as a combination doggie massage/status check, I noticed a thickening (for lack of a better word) on her left ear.

Upon further inspection, it was almost like a flat blister, but inside the skin - like there was a flat pocket of fluid.

Then last night I found the same on her other ear, but the left one had gone down some.

It's not hot or red, and it doesn't seem to be bothering her. It's been in the 60s for a few days, and she hid between the house and the boxwoods a until I could retrieve her when Rufus scared her... Possible bug bites?

    Anyone?

Sorry, not a clue! it is a very minor issue.

I'd just watch it and see what happens. Pebbles had a hematoma on her ear once that was sort of like that, but two? I don't know.

Hmm, one ear I would say bug bite, but both ears and no where else seems weird to me. Totally keep an eye on it. Silly Rufus scaring his widdle sister.

Seems to be gone from the left and much smaller on the right ear today. Weird.

Rufus is a sweetie, and he wants to play. I'm pretty sure he has no idea that his run is akin to a gallop and he looks like a scary beast from her vertically-challenged perspective!

When she knows where he is, they play well, but when he comes galloping in hard and fast, I think it's a little overwhelming for a liddle girl.

Poor pupper and mama . Hopefully it's clearing up. Does sound like maybe bites. I hear the Tanzanian Purple A$$ed Earbiters* had a heavy migration this year.

*might have made that name up

We had the same issues with mom's cocker spaniel Adam and the girls. He's very sweet, but he was being very intense. Angel wanted none of it. Cass tried, but he was kind of trampling over her 9lb of fluff and bones .

My first reaction was haematoma, but on both ears, I'd say bug bites...are there spiders in there by any chance? I'd also worry about ticks...their bites can do that too. Grasshoppers don't put up with big brother shenanigans!!!!!
