Oh ****. I am speechless. Tell us what you need, Kim. I know what this means. But what does this mean? If you want to talk, PM with your phone number, I will give you a call. If you want to talk but not about this, I totally understand. Whatever you need, holding you and Angel in my heart.

We have an appointment Mon at 2:00 at Blue Pearl in Tampa (where I just went with Mom). My vet recommended Dr. Kane, who also treated my coworker Sarah's dog for lymphoma. Sarah said HIS dog also had lymphoma. She really liked him. He did not have an opening until 4/26 and we really wanted her seen as soon as possible, so we will see another oncologist for the initial visit. Probably Kirk will take her on Monday.

I don't know if she can do steroids with Cushing's... so not sure how they will be able to treat her...

Lisa, I do want to talk. I don't know what about? But yes. Maybe Sat or Sun if you have time whenever? Kirk wants to know about lymphoma, so I'm going to look up some stuff.

Thank you, girls, for understanding and for being such good friends.

I mean... she's 13. It's not like she was going to live forever. Sarah's dog was only 6. But... she's my baby. My world.

With me always, Cassie & Angel

Kim words can't explain how sorry I am. I know how it is when your dog is your life. I miss Jack so much and I keep thinking I should be okay with his loss by now! He was my world, my best friend, and it sucks so bad when your best friend is ill. I wish you and Angel every blessing and a vet who can work miracles. This can be cured! My prayers go out to all of you!

Kim, that's not the update ideas hoping for - not at ALL. Around the DLC, 13 is not that old, at all.

Big hard hugs across the miles, sweet friend. Please keep us updated. Love you, love the Angel baby so much.

I am so very sorry to hear you are going through all of this. It sounds as if you are a FANTASTIC dachshund owner and are doing all possible to care for your pups. I am certain the specialist on Monday will be able to give you good advice on how to proceed. My vet has told me that cancer treatments are not nearly as traumatic for dogs as they are for humans. Our 13 year old mini, Brownie, had lymphoma when we lost him nearly two years ago, but he was in much worse shape. I will be thinking of you and your pups and praying for better news.

So sorry to hear this. Oh boy. You are great mom to her and spotted it hopefully early enough. Keep us posted?

Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry to hear this. One of my friend's (human) is battling lymphoma now. I haven't had a dog that we've treated for cancer other than Amanda many years ago and they just did surgery and she did great. I know that animals often do handle it better than humans because they don't have all the psychological stuff the humans do. Our of our employees once had a cat that went thru chemo and other than sleeping a lot and losing appetite, he said it wasn't really that bad for her.

    Sending for all of you

Just a reminder that Alex had chemo and it didn't phase her in the least. If it's an option (and increasingly it is for dogs!) totally worth it.
