Many for Miss Angel! Poor Daddy, that is frustrating, but hopefully next time will be a better experience.

They take her in the back the entire time. I used to be a little uncertain if that was best, but the more I see of my dogs' behavior at the vet, the more comfortable I am with it. When my dogs can see me, they struggle... even if I'm holding them. When the vets and techs take them back, they always come back saying how good they are, and the dogs don't seem especially distressed (they often lick whomever is holding them).

Daddy waits outside with Cass. He sits in a chair and puts the travel crate on the one next to him with the door open, and she periodically comes out halfway to check things out and then scuttles back inside. He calls it her turtle game .

This always seems to work best for most dogs. When I was a tech this is what the Vet did.
