    Default Rusty's back leg

I'm a mess this morning. 2 years ago when Rusty had IVDD. surgery, the nerves to his back right leg never came back 100%. He can stand on it and walk but it turns inside and twists when he steps off with it. This morning I called for him to go to his crate so I can go to work. I watched him crawl out of dog bed in our back room. Front paws out first the he stretched and dragged his back legs out. He does this every time but this time he fell after and started limping on that bum leg and wouldn't put it down. I called our vet to see if I could bring him right up there because he's whining and won't walk on it. I think he locked his knee cap. I tried moving it, doing range of motion but it wouldn't go back. Love my vet! but I was upset because our vet, the only vet, isn't in today. They had a vet replacement but she didn't come in till 11am (it was 8am) all the tech could recommend is crating him to see if it sorts itself out :-( so I went to work a mess and feeling helpless. Please send some rayz our way that when I get home from work, rusty comes out of that crate like nothing ever happened. I'm just so upset.

    Default Rusty's back leg

He's still more limpy than he was to begin with but it doesn't feel likes its locked up like it was. I just did some leg exercises with him. I didn't think of that happening but it is possible that's for sure! I'm thinking of using some medical wrap to wrap his leg for now, help keep it straight. We'll see. I feel like he needs an ankle/knee brace or something like one of those tight tension socks? I dont know :(.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I left for work in tears and worried all day.

    Thank you everyone!

Not like any of us on here have ever worried about a dog all day, or anything like that . Nope, never.

Geez, Angela, I'm just seeing this now. Tons of coming at ya! As for ridiculous, um, not in the least. Don't think there's any of us who haven't been there.
