    Default Darby and the Vet

I think Darby may be softening up as far as the vet goes. We still have to muzzle him. We tried a VOM adjustment without the muzzle and he snapped at Dr. Cooper so we put the muzzle on. But after we took the muzzle off, he did give her a kiss And the last time she was here, after the adjustment he brought his ball to her to throw.

Could it be that he's starting to think she's okay? Maybe at some point in the future he'll actually quit snapping at her when she adjusts him, Nah, he has too much fun making the humans jump

The gift of the ball is a pretty big deal! I'd count it as progress.

I don't blame him. I've wanted to snap at doctors a few times . Definitely progress.

Tristan didn't like having his hind end touched. If you did it unexpectedly, he'd sometimes whip around and snap. But then when he saw you there, he'd give you a kiss. He's like, "oh hi Mama! Something just bit me on the ass!"

Glad he is getting better. I don't think we will ever be able to trust Pogo without his muzzle, but I am glad Darby is making progress.

Aw, sweet boy...at least he apologizes when he snaps, unlike entirely too many humans!!!

I'm not sure we'll ever be able to trust him without the muzzle, but at least it's not a battle to get his back adjusted. Although he does have to complain vocally even with the muzzle on

Miller had to be muzzled for years. It wasn't until he was 10 or so that one time they forgot to muzzle him at the clinic to take his blood and he was fine that we discovered he was okay with it then. Miller also has the distinction of being the only one of my dogs who ever actually bit a vet tech. Dubious distinction. lol
