    Unhappy Puppen

I am so sad to say that Puppen crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April last year. Even after a year I cry daily. Everyone is on the lookout for another blue eyed dapple to help fill that spot. The day she passed at the vets it started raining, it rained for 23 days straight!! Even the Gods were devastated.

She will always be in my heart and missed.

I am so sorry for your loss.

It has been almost a year since we lost P'nut and every day it still hurts. The other day, Pixel was hanging in P'nuts crate and it kind of freaked me out a bit. My endocrinologist lost her sheppard almost 4 years ago, and his empty crate is still in her office. I asked her once, why it was still there, and she said she wasn't ready to move it. I didn't get it until I lost P'nut, moving her crate just makes it so final, and I want her to know she always has a bed here if she needs to visit.

It is nice to see you back, I hope another little dapple finds you.

Its so hard to lose one of our little ones. It was over a year before I could look at Bogart's picture without crying. Ditto with Miller. Hang in there, it does get better.

It's never easy to say goodbye. I still have the blanket that Alex crossed on...in Oct, 2009...in my cupboard. It's never been washed, or even unfolded since then. And I suspect it never will be so long as I'm around. Lisa has the rights of it...these silly little things we hold on to are in some ways their memory holders. It does get better, but there are still times I get a bit teary over all of the ones who've gone ahead, especially Wen and Patti.

All doggies deserve to be loved as thoroughly as Puppen and the rest of the heart dogs who have gone on ahead.

I am sorry for your loss, and glad to see you here on DLC.
