Default Happy Fourth of July from under the couch!

SJ, of course, has tried to scare the fireworks (and thunder) away by barking for the past three nights. Poor baby!

One of my favourite cartoons! I've been lucky so far and have never had a reactive dog, although James would bark at both thunder and fireworks, but he wasn't scared. (There, Grasshopper, you come by it honestly!) Then he became deaf in the last year or so of his life so that sorted that! Yet another reason why seniors rule .

Poor SJ! Scooter used to bark at the thunder and fireworks to try to scare them away. Since I've started using the Thundershirt, he's gotten gradually better to where he doesn't even get that upset most times. You can tell he's a bit uneasy but that's about it.

So THAT'S where it came from. Tanks a WOT, Unca James!

She's not scared. At. All. which is good, but the incessant barking was painful.

Our city had a ban this week for fireworks and bon fires because we havent had any rain and the grass is dry. Didnt stop anyone from shooting off fireworks. It was loud last night so we shut the windows and turned on the AC. Everyone got a calming treat. The hardest part was bed time, taking them out to pee.

Everyone was actually pretty good here last night. I went to bed about 11:30 and they had been quiet for a while. Scooter wore his thundershirt and did fine. Better than a lot of years!

    Wonderful cartoon.

My furcrew does OK with the fireworks. However, Shatner and Sammy (2 of the 4 dogs I am pet sitting) are terrified of the noise. I Not a fun few days.

Milo, whom as you all know is scared of EVERYTHING, cares not a bit about fireworks. The dork. Maisy, who is super easy going, was terrified again this year. She just shakes. Poor little bit.
