Mine don't really play with toys. Mine like killing toys and making living room snow.

Mine are like Lisa's. Toys last for a few minutes and then I pick up all the "snow". Darby will play with rubber toys a bit but not much. Darby is all about his tennis balls. He always has a ball in his mouth.

it depends on the dog. I have 3. Rusty loves toys, stuffed ones with a squeaker. Odie, only likes his one toy a hedgehog. Before he attached himself to this hedgehog, he was afraid of toys. Baxter wont play with toys. His previous owner had to put him under surgery to remove toy fuzz from his throat so he was taught not to play with toys.

I get my dogs GoDog Plush toys with Chew Guard. Makes it a bit tougher to chew up. My daughter's doxie Jesse loves his squeaky ball. Milo and Maisy love the plush toys with squeakers, even after they've "killed" them.
