Default My Little Rescue is all Grown Up...

What a day!!!! Got word of a mill situation in New Brunswick where the miller fell and apparently broke her shoulder and has decided to get out of the business. So ACDR got a call to see if we can take in 19 mini dachshunds. Yes, 19!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of everyone...all of a sudden we have 8 foster homes, offers to transport, all kinds of co-ordination and it's just coming together like nothing on earth. This is the group I started almost 15 years ago, then left to go to DRNA because there was no support. A few other people got it up and running again about 5 years ago, and we've been active, but NEVER anything like this. Just so proud of everyone!

So a miller is out of business and 19 dogs, all needing at the very least spaying and neutering and probably a lot more vetting, will be on their way to freedom on Sunday.

This is when being a rescuer feels mighty good.

    Way to go.

I think there is a lot more awareness now of millers and animals abusers than there was when first started back in early 2000. With that said there is still a very long way to go.

Uggg, 19 :( Glad they are out of business.

Any long haired chocolate boys you could smuggle to me when you come and visit?

I am really proud of everyone for stepping up. Rescue for the win!
