    A Titer blood test is a good idea. Your vet will send the blood sample to Kansas. I think it is expensive though.

    It's the law in Nova Scotia, but none of the dogs I've had since Alex passed have been with me more than 3 years, and all got their shots coming into rescue so it's been academic so far. However, as a general rule, I don't vaccinate after 7 or 8, but do titres instead. I don't know prices elsewhere but here they're about $60. Go with your gut, Lisa. If it was me, I probably wouldn't bother since they're never around other dogs, or more importantly, wildlife.

    We spoke to the vet and went with no. Both Rafi and I forgot Pogo had a negative reaction last shot, so it went from a maybe to a hard no.
