    Default Oh! My! LANTA!

I let Savannah out to potty this evening and she took off like a shot down the sidewalk AND JUMPED ON A CRITTER! It all happened so fast I couldn’t tell if it was a possum or a raccoon, but her prey drive was in OVERDRIVE.

There was barking and snarling and all kinds of blurry shit going down.

I did a bad bad thing and grabbed her tie-out string and reeled her back in. Panic mode.

I’ve checked her over tip to toe and she seems fine, but Mom is a hot mess.

And she never DID get to potty.

Oh, yes, I'm familiar with the scenario. Usually here it ends with at least 2 of the 3 dogs in on it and a lot of blood and guts. SJ was just protecting her mom and her house from the "intruder".

She isn't allowed outside without her tie-out string. Her bolting is my worst fear.

Screamed, ran in circles shaking my hands, freaked out. That's the mode for me when things involving killing critters happen.

She's a real hunter that one! I tell you, these dogs are gonna kill us. Never a dull moment. Glad she is ok and you too!
