    Default Rayz for Heidi

Heidi goes in today to have her anal glands flushed and packed with antibiotics. She's been having trouble with them for last couple of months...filling up every three days or so much to Buster's disgusting delight We tried antibiotics which cleared out the infection briefly but it's back so before they burst we're trying this. It needs to be done under sedation which at 15 is worrying. So any rayz going would be greatly appreciated. She's aged so much so quickly since Ferk passed. Bussy gets to come to my meetings today, Mr. Sociability that he is :.

Sending tons of for Heidi. And for you. It is so worrying putting them under any type of anesthetic when they are older.

Good for Mr. Sociability for getting to go with mom to meetings!

Well, it's done. Her anals were full to bursting with green gunk so they flushed them out, and filled them with antibiotic stuff which will hopefully get them working again. And bloody Buster (who ended up staying at the clinic with her instead of coming to the meeting but easier for mom), has licked an ulcer under her tail . So she needs to have cream smeared on it for the next 2 weeks. this works!!!!!!! She's gone really downhill since Ferk crossed...she never acted nor looked her age, and now she's showing signs of dementia (well, tonight she's just a bit stoned LOL). Heartbreaking, and then this undignified procedure!!!!! but at least she's home safe and sound.

Angel really struggled after losing her sister. She didn't like being alone at all. My mom and I were wondering if she might have stayed in remission longer... but no good ever came from "what-if"s. Sending more tiny rayz for your little Heidi ~~~~~~. I'm glad the boy is being his usual feisty self.

The rescue I work with has a little 9 year old blind girl who reminds me so much of Ferk in her spirit!! not a dachsie, but still. If Bussy wasn't such a butthead with other dogs in his space I'd take her. I think she'd do Heidi good. Mind you, she IS 15.

Okay, that made me laugh. Not really what you'd like to be remembered for . . .
