Default My oldest has back/leg problems.

My oldest Diesel is experiencing back problems while losing his legs most of the time. He goes to laser therapy which helped our other Dachshund. Any recommendations about wheels and where I can get them? Don't want to see him suffer. Weighs about 14 pounds. Thanks.

How long has it been since the back problem started? It can take months to recover function.

About three months. His back legs drag 50% of the time.

Over the years, I've had several doxies that had back problems. As Kim said, healing from back problems can take months. I used water therapy to get mine back and walking. For smaller dogs, you can use the bathtub if you don't have access to a pool. There are also PT places for pets now that do very good work at getting them back up and walking. Good luck and keep us posted.

he looks so sporty in the doggles!

We had great results with laser therapy but it did take time. Assuming you are crate resting him since you are getting the laser therapy.

Eddies' Wheels does great carts - there is another guy who refurbishes them - see if I can find his info.
