I can't speak to the first question as I have no experience with it, but many of my old guys have wound up toothless and it has absolutely no effect beyond chewing bones etc. They even were happy eating kibble and treats (inhalers of food to a dog). If it means being pain free for the rest of her life, that's what I'd do. Recovery can be a bit rough, but is short. Sending a ton of toofie

Pixel lost 16 teeth in one day. It was rough, but he made it through okay (he was 15 at the time). I would maybe do it over 2 surgeries, vs. one big one? Is she on antibiotics or anything for treatment now? Also before extraction, I would highly recommend an allergy / food sensitivity test. Maybe that is the underlying cause?
Poor baby girl. If it means being pain free, and a cure, I would absolutely remove the teeth.

It was a rough couple of days but pain meds helped. They recover quite quickly, all things considered.
