    Default Update on his appointment

Ok, I am a worried foster Mom and hate to see him hurting. . Keep in mind that Duckie is not a surgical candidate and up to this point has only been treated by a homopathic Vet using herbs.

Duckie had his appointment today with Dr. Grissom, a vet I really like and trust. Dr G said that it is too early right now to talk about surgery to relieve Duckie's pain. It will be last resort if Duckie is still yelping after he took all his pain meds and his anti-inflammatory, but she's hoping that it should help.

He was in more pain today than he was last week, but it is definitely his old injury, not a new one. She said that trying to keep in more crated could help, along with the meds. Last week, the pain area was T-10 and T-11 and this week, the pain area had increased to T-8 and T-11. Below that, he doesn't feel anything. He has been now off of the entire homopathic regime from the original vet and is able to go on the conventional medicines. He is on Metcam and Methocarbamol with complete crate rest for one week and then she will reevaluate him. Unless, he gets worse then he will go back immediately.

His back was so tight that she would not even try the needle acupuncture instead did the lazar acupuncture to help relieve some of the pressure.

Please continue the   and for my wonderful little guy. He wants out of the crate so badly but ...... NO he cannot come out.
