    Default OH my gosh Ana

my little Lhasa girl was picked to be on a TV show if I didn't really want her for myself!! It was one of those shows where the dog sort of picks the owners but Emily (the director of the shelter) called and asked me if I really wanted her for myself for if I wanted her for my parents down the road. :faint: She is coming home with me of course. :D

    Unhappy

OH guys I'm so upset! I brought her home and well everything went to hell in a hand bag. Boomer was doing okay with her and Dudley was to then bam! They double teamed her and now she is bleeding. My mom came over and I couldn't get a hold of the vet (he didn't answer his phone). But, we looked her over really good and are pretty sure it's her eye lid that go nailed. Then when I had just Mitzi, Dudley and her out (Dud is on a leash plus muzzled), Mitzi got a little to happy trying to go under her and they ended up fighting but my mom is the one who got bit. So now Duds on a leash tied to a door, Mitzi is sleeping in the dinner room, Boomer is crying in his kennel and she is laying on a dog bed on the chair. The only one who is doing great is Ruby and she is under my computer desk chewing on a toy. :faint: I feel awful. I know if I didn't have Boomer this wouldn't have happened.

I'm not sure what to do now. I know in time they all will get along but ugh....

Wow, I hope she is ok--I sure would take her to the vet in the morn. Here are some rays to help you get thru this.

Sending healing to the new addition.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Oh Shonda! How frightening and a bit discouraging!! Tons of healing coming your way!! I know it's really soon after Emily's crossing, but do you think your mom might take her? Sending lots of "getting along" to you all!!!
