    Default Three new fosters

I got a call about three dogs at the animal control. Two were "breeder"
(they really need to re-read the dachshund standard) surrenders and one was literally thrown from the car in front of the animal control building. They rolled their window down and threw her out. She's just a baby at nine months old. She's already been through so much, so I'll be fostering her. The other two are going to wonderful foster homes in TN and AL. The two breeder surrenders are skinny but oh so sweet. Both are pretty young- about 1-2 years old.
Anywho- here are pictures of them.
The dapple and the red girl without the collar are the breeder surrenders. The dapple has the longest tail I've ever seen, and the red girl WITH the collar is the one thrown from the car. She has a nub for a tail. We believe she was born that way, but aren't sure.
At any rate, they are all precious.

They are adorable!!! You're right though..they don't look quite right...the one with the nub does have kind of a boxy head. It is what some people do...

Aww they are cute little guys, I am glad you were able to pull them.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Not perfect by breed standards, but gorgeous nonetheless! for getting them pulled!!! Looks like they're enjoying their new improved life! I love the little baby girl, even without a tail!!! (I wonder if they docked it for some reason...people who would throw a dog out of a car wouldn't hesitate, I'm thinking!:mad

It's amazing how animals can go through horrible situations and still manage to be full of love and happiness towards people. Those pictures are wonderful. Such beautiful dachsies. :hearts: I'm so glad there are people like you to help them transition into wonderful, loving homes where they will be taken care of.
