    Default Question about Greenies

Ok, I've been reading a lot from you guys saying not to buy Greenies for your guys... I was just wondering why? Again, I am not up to date on dog treats, but I thought Greenies were supposed to be a great toy/treat?!!?!?

A number of dogs have died from choking, or from a piece lodging inside them.

I know of a New Yorker whose dachshund had one stuck in its gut, they did surgery, and the dog died from complications after the surgery. I think he sued the company.

I wasn't feeding them to Tasha as she gets sick from wheat, but like rawhides, I think its better to not feed them--there are safer cheweys like pizzles and flossies. But supervision is a MUST with any chew!

Hmm... I know I had heard something like that before, but I thought that it had been determined that they were just as safe as any other chewie, but that as with all toys supervision was a must??

    Thank you for the info.

I think part of it is how well your dog chews them. And for me, feeding my dog wheat gluten? Well, it doesn't seem like a good treat--meat treats are better!
