    Default Update on Cowboy's eye

Well, Cowboy is doing very well after the kitty-incident. He has a definate scratch at the top left corner of his eyeball, but it's healing very nicely. He's on some pretty strong antibiotics and pain meds. He's also on pred. for his HW treatment, so I'm sure that's helping too.

So many issues for such a young boy!

Miguel saw him for the first time this week when he came home, and he fell in LOVE with him. He is a darlin!

WHEW! So glad he's doing ok. Keep a close eye on it...my friend's minpin got a scratch on his eye, she thought it looked like it wasn't healing but the vet said not to worry...he got an infection, and , although they did save the eye without much damage, it was touch and go for awhile!!

for the update. It's good to hear Cowboy's eye is healing, eyes do heal fast.
Sending lots of healing for Cowboy.
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Glad to hear he's doing well. My parent's cat scratched Pippit's cornea once. He was on antibiotics and an anti inflamitory and learned his lesson about kitties.
