    Smile You will never guess.........

what happened today!!!! I got off work for my lunch break and was about to call the shelter, when they called me.

    The orignial owner showed up!!!

The shelter charged him boarding fees, and the lady I was dealing with said she gave him a 45 minute lecture on having the proper identification on the dog and making it where there was no way he could get off of the property.......

Oh, I think the best part is the shelter made the dude leave a $100 deposit that he will only get back if he shows up with the dog on the scheduled day to have the dog NEUTERED!!!!

I guess alls well that ends well. I can say that I tried, and the best news is that the little guy isn't in the shelter anymore!

I hope the owner pulls his head out of him bum and takes better care of/responsibility for his doggie!!!!

Thank you to everyone who was supportive of my mini-rescue efforts!:hearts:

Good Job.....I wonder why the took so long to find him?
Bad things can happen to the best owners, just believe it was a one time thing and it won't happen again. Hey they put $ on the dog.....a truely bad owner wouldn't have listened to the lecture or paid the 100.00 bucks....they'd have said keep the dog!
Good for the shelter for making neutering mandatory....at least something good came out of it...
Good work on your efforts and follow-up Tex!:angel7:

:cheer2: A happy ending. I'm glad the shelter charged him and also asked for a neuter deposit.
Maybe they can talk the guardian into a microchip for the dog.

for all your loving efforts. :hearts:
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

Good news! Thanks for all your efforts. Hopefully this was an eye opener for the owner, or a freak accident that he'll take efforts to thwart in the future!
