Default The Professor Vs. The Ice Chest

Well.... as much as I ADORE my little fuzzy Professor :hearts: Sometimes he's a downright wierd dog.... for example, tonight, an ice chest (a birthday present for our roommate on dry ice in an ice chest sent UPS) was delivered and Buster won't stop barking at it!!!

Exibit A: The Offending Ice Chest

The Prof approaching said offending Ice Chest

    The approach....

    THE ATTACK!

MUTTER OPEN THE DOOR SO I CAN BARK AND ATTACK THE EVIL ICE CHEST!!!!

I kid you not...the dog is pacing and whining for me to open the door so he can sniff/bark at/attack this ice chest.... Thank god we have him to keep our house safe!

The Professor is very uncomfortable with this "thing" that has invaded his home and wants it to disappear immediately. :scared1: Good boy protecting his family & home!
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

We have an unhappy Professor? This situation must be remedied immediately! Mine do that too...they just don't like "new" things out of place.

How is he doing this morning - still determined to investigate?

Is there meat in the ice chest that he might smell? Maybe he's after the contents? Or maybe he doesn't like styrofoam.....Poor Professor!

Default Is there still dry ice in it?

Dry ice is kind of weird. Maybe he is wondering why an ice chest is smoking...

I emptied out the ice chest last night - put the steak and lobster in the fridge. He was still barking at the empty chest. We put the ice chest in the dining room and he went to sleep in his crate. Then, at 3AM...the barked started again! I let him out of the crate and sure enough he ran straight to the ice chest and continued to bark at it!

I would bark at something that contained steak and lobster too!!!

Then I would be barking at something that USED to contain steak and lobster

I think you're going to have to find another home for the chest??
