Oh I've seen that on the "Dog Whisperer" ....he went to a prison, to help them with problem dogs....it's wonderful!!!
ITA that this is a great idea.....I wish more places would start programs like this!

They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. I think it's great. I saw a story about something like that on animal planet. I can't remember where the prison was, but think it's a good way for the dogs to get the help they need, and maybe it helps the prisoners a lil too.

We have a program here called Lee County Cell Dogs. Here is the link. http://www.leecountycelldogs.com/ They train the dogs, and then they are adopted out to suitable homes. I watched that website for a long time.
I have seen a program on TV were prisoners train dog for special needs people.
