    Oh I've seen that on the "Dog Whisperer" ....he went to a prison, to help them with problem dogs....it's wonderful!!!

    I saw that one too. It was a woman's prison in NV.
    They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

    I think it's great. I saw a story about something like that on animal planet. I can't remember where the prison was, but think it's a good way for the dogs to get the help they need, and maybe it helps the prisoners a lil too.

    We have a program here called Lee County Cell Dogs. Here is the link. http://www.leecountycelldogs.com/ They train the dogs, and then they are adopted out to suitable homes. I watched that website for a long time.

    I have seen a program on TV were prisoners train dog for special needs people.
