Today I made Hula a vest thing using a pattern I found online and thought you all might like to see.

I'm not going to look at you...

Nice job! It looks lovely, even if she is less than thrilled to be modeling it.

That is cute I have a similar that pattern. Petunia has a dress that she got from a secret admirer. If your gonna make a dress or vest why not add strapping and you also have a harness. Everything I make is a harness with detachable skirt.

I think my friend paid about 40 dollars for it.

Thanks everyone! After being sooo stubborn for me yesterday, when my dad came home from work she was more than happy to model it for him... She's got "gwampa" wrapped around her little paw and she knows it!

The link to the pattern is:

There are also instructions to make a dress. :)

LUVMYGUNNER, Your vests and dresses are very cool (I am in love with the camo one!) and you have such adorable little models! Thank you for the suggestions. Making the vest into a harness is a great idea. Do they sell those rings at craft stores like JoAnn Fabrics or Micheals?

Thats the pattern I have also, but don't use. I use the one where I made mine from the hug-a-dog and just changed it. I go to the dollar stores and buy their leashes and colors, from the leashes i get the strapings you need for the back where you put the D-Ring on. I get the D-Ring and the buckle, from the collars, if not i know Joann has the stuff and so does Walmart.

I never would have thought to take apart collars and leashes from the dollar store. That is a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful tips. :hug99:

When you make them though I put a layer of iron on pellon between the layers of fabric, it makes it sturdier.
