View Full Version : Otto at it again

I noticed this morning, Otto wasn't in bed. He can't get down on his own so I was slightly worried as to where he was. I found him in the living room, on the dog bed by the sofa, tucked in quite snugly and not wanting to get up. He had a cut on his face. I never heard a thing last night, and have super sonic hearing when it comes to Otto in distress. The towels I'd put on the floor for potty deposits weren't messed up, so I can only assume he walked there on his own. I gave him his breakfast in bed (as I do quite often) and went on to work.
Came home, and he was in the exact same position that I'd left him in. Not good. Tried the toe test. Not good. Took him in to the vet, and x-rays revealed that it was the same location that was injured before, but this time, only half. His left side wasn't working, but he still has deep pain in both feet and wags his tail.
He got a steroid shot and is on the usual crate rest. If there is no improvement by Thursday....he'll need the surgery :( which I seriously can't afford to even think about.

So, send super dooper mega powerful Otto back be better :bigrayz:

Praying very much that Otto won't need surgery. Hoping that it's just a full moon thing that will be ok in a day or two. The full moon today is in Libra conjunct Saturn, which can bring back past health problems. Saturn has rulership over skin, teeth and bones. Sending comfort and healing :bigrayz::bigrayz: to Otto and you.

That's so funny, because my mystery stomach ailment has reared it's firey burney head again, after being gone for a very long time. I am not at the top of my game right now.

He stood on his own (with little support from the band I use) and peed this morning. Barked to let me know he needed to go.
Staying home today due to tummy ache/explosive intestinal distress.

I'm glad he's standing up on his own.

I also have these stomach distress things when I get stressed out, which is understandable in your case. Sending more mega healing :bigrayz::bigrayz::bigrayz: for both Otto and you. Keep us posted.

Andrea, so glad you both are better. Looks like it could have been a full moon thingy after all. The FM was in the 12th House of your chart. Sixth and twelveth Houses rule ones health. FM is effective for 28 days, so take it easy.

Otto continues to improve, he walked with support from me with the sling, and is pooping and peeing normally :)
I'm feeling TONS better :) but my stomach area is still feeling like someone punched me there, but the innards no longer burn, and I can eat :)

And, just for bonus wackiness, while I was at a reenlistment this morning, a seagull flying over us dropped a HUGE fish right in front of us, about 4 feet away! Too funny!

If it wasn't dead when the bird had it, the sudden stop at the concrete did it in. That was one dead fish.:rotfl:
